Corey and Morgan’s Picturesque Plantation Wedding

Posted by on 8:00 am in blog | Comments Off on Corey and Morgan’s Picturesque Plantation Wedding

One of our favorite events of this year was Corey and Morgan’s spring wedding at Cumberland Plantation. Everything from the flowers to the cake exuded a classic, timeless feel making the guests feel instantly at home. One truly unique aspect of their wedding was the first dance. Corey prerecorded him singing Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” to be their first dance song, which was a wonderful surprise for Morgan. Congrats to Corey and Morgan and we wish you all the best as you begin married life!

Fust Comes Love

Posted by on 8:00 am in blog | Comments Off on Fust Comes Love

What an elegant wedding! The Fusts exchanged vows at the beautiful Grace State Winery in Crozet, Virginia. Kelly was radiant as she walked down the aisle to a beaming Michael. The night ended with a sparkler exit, but not before a giant toga party broke out, a unique family tradition. Congrats to Michael and Kelly and we wish you all the best!

Let’s Toast to Brunch

Posted by on 5:00 pm in blog | Comments Off on Let’s Toast to Brunch

Earlier this year, the Wedding Crashers Tour was held in Richmond, Virginia at the beautiful Branch Museum. This enjoyable event allows future brides and grooms at the beginning stages of their planning to get a glimpse of some of their local vending options in everything from food and drinks to flowers and decor, with the hopes of sparking inspiration that will carry on all the way to their big day. MOSAIC had the honor of being a part of such a lovely occasion this year.

In preparation for this exciting affair, we created a cocktail tasting comprised of three different Mimosas, one made with orange juice,  one with cranberry, and the last with grapefruit juice for the guests to enjoy. To make these delectable brunch favorites at home, mix together two parts champagne, one part whichever juice you choose and add a colorful, fruity garnish for a creative touch. It is sure to be a hit with any of your guests!

Erica and Adam’s Elegant Charleston Wedding

Posted by on 6:00 pm in blog | Comments Off on Erica and Adam’s Elegant Charleston Wedding

Today is a beautiful day to look back at the show-stopping wedding of Erica and Adam. Our MOSAIC Charleston team had a lot of fun crafting a menu that reflected this couple and their impeccable tastes.

Taking place at Charleston’s Legare Waring House , this alfresco event was backdropped by stately live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. The Ooh! Events team created this dreamy ceremony and reception using select heirloom pieces, neutral shades and plenty of personal touches .  Lobster mac, pan seared grouper and a local selected oysters paired with bright mignonettes were accents to such a beautifully curated event.

Congrats to Erica and Adam, we wish you all the best on your journey.

Let’s Spring into Summer

Posted by on 6:00 pm in blog | Comments Off on Let’s Spring into Summer

Ready to leave the cold winter behind and celebrate the return of summer? Us too! This month our very own Rachel McKenna created a design to represent just that feeling.

For this look, “I drew a lot of our original inspiration from department store display windows, specifically Anthropology. The window displays evoke a certain feeling, and I wanted to achieve the same effect. The overlapping glass elements create a light, clean look while the pops of coral and teal produce a whimsical and playful accent to the display. I also wanted to focus on not using any floral or greenery, and still creating an interesting and dynamic design. The overall look is perfect for a summer event.”

For a refreshing drink with the taste of summer, try a Calypso Cooler!

(2) parts white rum

(1) part blue Curacao

splash of club soda

splash of pineapple

fresh fruit garnish

Shake, pour over ice, and enjoy

*to make it sweeter you can use lemon-lime soda instead of club.

The Chinsky Wedding

One year ago today the Chinskys were getting married at the beautiful Dover Hall. We loved working with them to make their wedding completely kosher.  The menu was developed as a fusion between kosher traditions and the influence of Southern cuisine.  The Smoked Salmon and Dill Mac and Cheese was a perfect example of the creative kosher take on a Southern classic dish.   Congrats to the lovely couple and we wish you the best of luck!

Any chance you are planning an event sometime soon, but have no idea where to start? Don’t worry! Here is some inspiration for your next special occasion!

We were inspired to create this display with an overall classic glam design. The all white gives the look very clean finish while the accents of gold ties the room together. It was very simple to put together and it is an easy way to glam up your next event!
